Mostly known as "vd", with a civil engineer background, is a long time systems and infrastructure architect, security evangelist and mobile catalyst, deeply involved in technology.
Began working on several Portuguese telecoms doing support and infrastructure, jumped into the B2B bandwagon as a web architect when the bubble burst, then went for a three year ride nurturing online corporate and home banking systems infrastructure on the national public bank.
Holds public duty at the Portuguese Ministry of Justice while head of software development department, presidential election voting system and national citizen ID card project manager.
Was recently doing marketing and system operations for 7Syntax, his failed mobile startup and now acts as an independent consultant in cloud computing and security for Amazon Web Services Europe. With his spare time, he's bootstrapping Mobile Monday Portuguese chapter, an online tech video show and he's editor for The Next Web. |
